I teach yoga that's welcoming, real, and accessible - helping every BODY build strength, mobility, and confidence at any age or experience level. Yoga supports lifelong stength, mobility and confidence, and I’m committed to sharing that with as many people as possible.

I’m a certified yoga teacher (instructor, guide or whatever you want to call it)... but I am simply a guy who is passionate about yoga and who strives to share what I know about yoga in a way that is fun, informative, challenging, motivating and easy to follow and learn.
I love to teach yoga because I’ve seen what happens when someone rediscovers their body - the spark, the confidence, the “I didn’t know I could do that” moment. Those moments matter and motivate. They change how we age, how we move, and how we show up in the world. They keep us coming back for more!

I began my yoga journey November 2023 at age 53. I joined a new gym in the area, and yoga was included in my membership, so I took advantage of it. It was challenging at first because I didn't know what I was doing, I was self-conscious, I was stiff, my balance was poor, I was out of shape, and I was a little bit overweight. But it didn't discourage me, it inspired me. I fairly quickly noticed improvements in flexibility, balance and strength - so then I was hooked (I absolutely love balance challenges). Eating heathier and various other exercise classes in addition to yoga lead to me losing 20 lbs and toning up quite a bit. Focus and memory was honed.
I decided to do Yoga Teacher Training (YTT) to get a deeper understanding of yoga, not to become a teacher. But that gradually changed to absolutely wanting to teach as my training progressed. I continue to train, teach and learn almost everyday. I hope to share what I know and feel now, thanks to yoga, with as many people as possible - because it is such a good thing.

I am fairly new to teaching yoga. If you are concerned with my level of experience, don't be. I am very well trained, and with every person, group and gym class that I teach each week I gain more and more experience. I will always be learning and growing, and I am dedicated and devoted to each client's experience, and I take it all very personally and seriously.

My personal practice is slower paced - I like to hold poses longer, feel the poses, adjust for deeper stretches, challenge myself. Sometimes I play music, burn incense, turn on a water feature...do it inside or outside...I'm evolving into more frequent and longer meditations.
Doing yoga with my eyes closed or blindfolded (no cheating) is my favorite because it forces me to look inward, truly feel the pose, remove visual distractions - the way yoga is meant to be. (But I'm not opposed to using a mirror now and then to check on form.)
